About Me
My path into DevOps wasn’t a straight line. It began in the trenches as a Site Reliability Engineer, wound through Splunk administration and consulting, and eventually led me to the role I love most — a DevOps Engineer automating the very systems I used to firefight by hand. Today, that journey spans 7+ years and has brought me to HDFC Securities in Bangalore, where I build and scale the infrastructure behind trading and broking platforms. Along the way, I couldn’t resist a detour into Machine Learning, picking up a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of Hyderabad — because I’ve always been as curious about the data flowing through a system as the system itself.

Experience
- Design and run the CI/CD pipelines that ship code to HDFC Securities’ trading and broking platforms, where both downtime and slow releases carry real cost
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code, keeping dev, QA, pre-prod, and production environments consistent and reproducible
- Build monitoring, alerting, and dashboards that catch problems early on systems people actively trade on
- Partner closely with security and compliance teams to keep infrastructure changes aligned with financial-sector regulations
- Mentor engineers on DevOps practices and help standardize the automation tooling the team relies on
- Led the migration of production infrastructure from AWS Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes, modernizing how the company deploys and scales its applications
- Designed CI/CD pipelines that brought consistency and industry best practices to a previously ad hoc release process
- Rolled out new security tooling to close compliance gaps across the infrastructure
- Cut infrastructure costs by continuously right-sizing cloud resources
- Kept dev, QA, pre-prod, and production environments running smoothly through hands-on support and steady improvements
- Worked as the DevOps engineer on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Data Safe team, a security and data-protection product used across Oracle’s cloud
- Helped launch Data Safe in new geographic regions, expanding where the service could run
- Extended the team’s Terraform codebase to support new Data Safe features as they shipped
- Built and maintained the deployment pipelines used to ship changes safely
- Set up metrics and dashboards that gave the team visibility into how the service was performing in production
- Kept systems current and compliant through regular patching and configuration maintenance
